GPS and Location Services help your device determine where you are and allow apps, websites, and system features to provide location-based information. For example, a maps app can use your location for navigation, a weather app can show local conditions, and a website can find nearby stores or services.

Although people often use the terms GPS and Location Services interchangeably, they are not exactly the same. GPS uses satellite signals to determine your position, while modern phones and computers can also use Wi-Fi networks, Bluetooth, cellular networks, and other signals to estimate your location.
